I was in love, in love with a horse, a horse named Maggie Got Lucky, or just plain ol' "Maggie." She was down at the pre-vet barn at UF from the beginning of the fall '98 semester, and I befriended her. I was just about the only person that paid her any attention. She's the sweetest thing. This is my little gallery of Maggie, "my pony," who was sold on May 1st, 1999.
Oh, and in case you're wondering where the whole "dog food and glue" thing came from, I'll have to give that credit to Sean. I was talking to him one night on the computer, and he referred to my dear Maggie with that title. I guess he thought that's all she was good for, seeing that she had a crooked leg and low ringbone. But I'll have you know, Sean, that my Maggers was sold at auction for $24,000 (higher than the going rate for meat) to be used as a broodmare. (which, granted is still a lousy idea, but still ... she's still alive ... well as far as I know anyhow ...)
