In the spring of 1999, Michelle and I undertook the roles of Assistant Stage Managers for the UF theatre production of the musical
Anne of Green Gables
. For two weeks straight, until the show was over, one of us was at the theatre until between 2 and 5 am every day. It was a lot of fun, but also a lot of stress. But now it's over. That which does not kill us truly does make us stronger. Before the "two weeks of hell" got underway, this is Jason, Shell, and Jeff working on lights for the show.
Jason was an actor in the musical, and Jeff was the Stage Manager, a.k.a. Shell's and my boss. Here are Michelle and Jeff playing on the computer after an early rehearsal adjournment. If I can remember correctly, they were heckling my friend Aron (which, for the record, I had no part in thank you very much).
Just out of mere coincidence, both my neighbor Jenn and Jeff's brother Jon were looking for romance ... and how cute, they found it with each other. A popular hang out during those two weeks became Denny's. Here are Jon and Jenn, looking a bit stunned by the flash.
... and of course Jeff and I had to accompany them.
